• To prevent fine airborne paint mist escaping into the workplace, all paint booths/rooms should be run at a slightly lower air pressure than the surroundings so that any air is drawn into the booth or room. This is commonly referred to as running at 'negative pressure'.
  • Exhaust filters (also known as paint overspray arrestors) work by capturing over sprayed coatings before they're exhausted into the environment to reduce shop emissions. During spray jobs in a paint booth, the exhaust system must draw substantial quantities of air out of the shop in order to operate.
