Paint Booth

Product Description :

To prevent fine airborne paint mist escaping into the workplace, all paint booths/rooms should be run at a slightly lower air pressure than the surroundings so that any air is drawn into the booth or room. This is commonly referred to as running at 'negative pressure'. Exhaust filters (also known as paint overspray arrestors) work by capturing over sprayed coatings before they're exhausted into the environment to reduce shop emissions. During spray jobs in a paint booth, the exhaust system must draw substantial quantities of air out of the shop in order to operate.

  • An enclosed or semi-enclosed area used for the spray painting of fabricated items equipped with paint arrestors or a waterfall backdrop to trap overspray, negative pressure is created by means of centrifugal blower with adequate air flow and an exhaust system to vent the fumes of the evaporating solvents. In the waterfall backdrop system (Wet paint booth) water pumps are included for distributing water over the water screens.
  • The overspray paints are observed by the negative pressure created by the Blower which then passes through the pain arrest filters or the water fall back drop in which it is filtered and separated from the air. In Dry Paint booth system, the paint settles over the paint arrestors whereas, in wet paint booth the paint get settled over the water which circulates continuously from reservoir tank to the water screen.

  • LAW : The Factories Act of India requires that enough ventilation be provided wherever spray painting is carried out and the working atmosphere should be free of pollution.
  • SAFETY : Spray paint involves potential fire risk from both solvent and overspray deposits. It also provides a health risk to the painter. If you use a paint booth, you can collect both of these for safe disposal
  • POLLUTION : The air exhausted from the paint shop must be as clean of paint as possible. Only an efficient spray booth will ensure adequate collection and prevent polluting the atmosphere.
  • QUALITY OF WORK : Over spray and dust particles in the atmosphere may settle on wet painted components. You need a spray paint booth to eliminate it settling on wet painted components.
